Jacquemus + Exteta

A spontaneous collaboration between Exteta and Jacquemus brings back the iconic 1964 Locus Solus collection, originally signed by the prestigious Gae Aulenti, in a new and original edition.

The series, born from the designer’s 1960s pop production, combines bold lines with vintage charm, enhancing harmony and versatility in space.

A pop series featuring bold lines with vintage charm, renewed through fabrics and colors by the contemporary vision of designer Simon Porte Jacquemus, a long-time admirer of Aulenti’s work and devoted collector of her chairs.

“This collaboration with Exteta came about naturally and spontaneously. I have always dreamed of developing a furniture line… I am a great admirer of design chairs and have been collecting Gae Aulenti’s vintage chairs for many years, ever since I saw them in Jacques Deray’s film La Piscine. I wanted to add a Jacquemus touch to those chairs, with a yellow striped fabric inspired by the beach mats and umbrellas of the 1980s."

Thanks to this re-edition, the Locus Solus collection is now available with an off-white frame and cushions in two different fabric finishes: yellow stripes, and off-white fabric with hand-stitched brown contrast seams.
